Hyperion is Intamin’s mega-coaster turned up to grand-touring scale: a towering lift, an aggressive step-down into a tunnel, and long-legged elements that let the train stretch its stride. The opening drop dives past ground level before a sweeping pull-out sets up the signature dive-loop-style element that flips the train while still carrying huge speed. From there Hyperion alternates sustained airtime with big, oblique transitions that feel more like carving than snapping, keeping the pacing brisk without jarring. A splashdown trench adds visual punctuation—more show than soak—and the rest of the course plays with outward banking and elevated turns to keep the negative-g varied. Trains are open and low-profile, the restraint design encouraging that floating sensation during longer hills. The theme—an expedition to Saturn’s moon—shows up in the station lighting and audio but mostly stays out of the way to prioritize capacity. With a 77-meter summit and a top speed over 140 km/h, Hyperion doesn’t need gimmicks to impress; it relies on height, clean profiling and momentum management to deliver a ride that feels vast, fast and refreshingly re-rideable.
